Early the next year – 1979, the car had a “new look”… On the way home from a race the previous year, Steve had to make a panic stop in the truck, and the E-Type broke free from its straps and rolled forward on the trailer – mangling the nose of the bonnet on the trailer winch. Steve repaired the damage as best he could with a hammer and dolly and some filler, and was back out onto the track! This is still the original welded-louver bonnet – note the change in shade in the first 12 inches covering Steve’s repairs.
