painted in good quality self-etching primer &#8211; 2 coats, and now we&#8217;re ready to bolt up the new frame rails. I can&#8217;t believe I am saying this, but take it from me &#8211; I have bolted dozens of sets of frame rails to dozens of E-Types, and these fit BETTER THAN ORIGINALS!!! Things were winding down fast and the customers were on their way to see the finished car in just 48 hours, so the bonnet shimming was a marathion session with very few photos. When I came back out, in the evening light, I thought the curvy E-Type shell under the sheer parachute cover looked just like a woman under a sheet.
