This was a special order part for a customer this Fall that we have now patterned and tooled up for. Take a look at the photos – we went out of the way to make this part IDENTICAL to the original piece – including the special double folded edge on the top that is the same as the radio console. This edge is “hemmed” so that it will not rub through the upholstery wrapped around it.<\/p>\n

To my knowledge, no one has ever reproduced this piece. The radio consoles are reproduced, and they are not bad, but don’t have this hemmed edge, instead they are just made with a heavier gauge metal sticking out as a single edge that can rub through…<\/p>\n

This console is for a 3.8-liter E-Type. The later 4.2-liter cars have a recess in the side panel to give extra clearance for the 4.2 style seats. We can make both styles – if you need one, give us a ring!<\/p>\n
