The car is a late Series 2 with air-conditioning and manual steering – a great combination. Many of the later FHC and OTS 6-cylinder E-Types were fitted with power steering, but I much prefer the standard manual unit. I believe that power steering is overkill on a short-wheelbase E-Type, and you loose some of the E-Type’s excellent tactile feel for the road…
