Second place is this aluminum lower valance for an E-Type vintage racer. This is an all-new piece, made entirely of aluminum. the skin is aluminum, the support member is aluminum, even the tapped blocks in the bonnet hinge mounts are aluminum – and it was ALL made right here by yours truly!
This piece is still in progress – and again, I will update with additional photos when it is complete. The corners of the mouth are still incomplete, and it will get a little more doctoring up in the whole mouth area – if you look closely you can see it’s still not all the way there. But I look at the photos of the early hammer marks and just shake my head – I can’t believe how this stuff comes together – and I’m the one doing it!
