The typical tear in the lower rear corner has been TIG-welded up and ground smooth, and a strengthening bead of weld has been added so it will not tear again. This is a factory flaw in the E-Type bonnet – these ALL tear! We weld up the tear so that it is invisible, and then strngthen it so it never comes back!
